This rakhi is hand crafted by a team of artisans from  western Maharashtra. Copper Enamelling is a near extinct craft of fusing glass onto the copper surface for colour enrichment. The glass powder is laid onto the copper surface in the requisite patterns and the assembly is heated to 800°C, at which point the powdered glass melts to form a coat on the copper surface. This glass enamelling not only lends its vibrant colours to the copper surface, but also prevents it from oxidizing, so that you may cherish this for longer.
