Ikat is one of the most famous weaves of India. The earliest reference of Ikat comes from the murals of the Ajanta caves, dating back 1200 – 1600 years .
Ikat is a unique weave, where the threads of the warp or weft are patiently tied and then dyed multiple times, to acquire different colours.
